The Sun in the Holy Koran

It is mentioned 41 times in the Holy Book. The focus is how it was made subservient to mankind by Command of the Lord and how it obeys His Command.

'And He Hath Constrained The Night And The Day And The Sun And The Moon To Be Of Service Unto You'. The Holy Kuran.

Theses words, true as they always been, sound even more vehemently actual with the large projects springing worldwide for the capture of Solar energy.

This energy has the potential to provide for all mankind's energy need.

Indeed, the Lord is Magnificent, All Wise and Powerful.

As for His Magnificence, the sun is a sign of it, for none of us can stare at the sun, while it humbly prostrate itself daily at the Lords Station.

As for His Wisdom, science only now discovers the inner workings of this star, and full benefits to be reaped from using the sun for power generation, also a sign of His Wisdom is that the sun is stationed neither too far from earth, which would cause it to be too cold, nor too near from it, which would render it too hot.

As for His Power, the sun follows a course charted for him by the Lord, it does so willingly, nor would it cause the Lord any effort to coerce the sun unto his course.

For Allah is the Almighty, the Wise.
